After Olivia’s party over the weekend, I headed to my SIL/BIL’s new house that they just closed on in Newport Beach. This place is out of control beautiful and I can’t wait to see how Angelique decorates it. She’s the absolute best at decorating.
Then we headed to Balboa Island for dinner at Ciao Italian Restaurant. So delicious! One of the owners sat us herself and told my husband that he looks like Phillip Phillips. It’s always an American Idol! He used to get Paul MacDonald, but that might be on account of Tyler showing his hair dresser Paul’s photo to mimic during hair cuts (shhh…don’t tell him I spilled the beans) ;)
After a caprese salad with steamed clams, we headed out for a famous frozen banana.
There’s a place in Buffalo called Pautler’s that my parents and grandparents used to take me to all the time as a kid and it was always a toss-up between a vanilla soft-serve with cherry magic shell or a frozen banana. This definitely took me back.

I was shocked to find out that they have different sizes of bananas that you can order. I always figured they were about the same! When I was a kid I’d get the banana dipped in chocolate with walnut topping, but this time I went all out and got rainbow sprinkles.
